Who this policy covers
This policy applies to Bright Health Savings LLC (“we”, “us”) and to the website at brighthealthsavings.com. It explains what we collect when you use this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
We are an independent insurance brokerage. We are not an insurance carrier, and we are not affiliated with the federal or any state health insurance marketplace.
What we collect
Information you give us. The survey on this site collects your state, the number of people in your household who need coverage, whether anyone in your household has major pre-existing conditions that need covering, your coverage timing, and your first name, last name, phone number and email address.
We do not ask for, and you should never send us, a Social Security number, a date of birth, income figures, medical records, or payment details through this website.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, we may record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, the referring website, and any campaign parameters in the URL (such as utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, gclid or fbclid). This is used to understand which channels bring people here and to detect automated abuse of the form.
How we use it
- To have a licensed advisor review your details and contact you about health coverage.
- To identify which carriers and plan types are realistic for your state and situation.
- To prevent spam, automated submissions and fraudulent use of the form.
- To measure which marketing channels are working, in aggregate.
- To meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to third-party lead buyers. Your submission goes to one licensed advisor.
We share information only in these circumstances:
- With the licensed insurance advisor and, where you ask to proceed, the insurance carrier whose plan you are applying for.
- With service providers who operate this site on our behalf — hosting, database storage, email and analytics — under contracts that limit them to that purpose.
- Where required by law, regulation, subpoena, or a lawful request from an authority.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, where the receiving party is bound by this policy.
Communications and consent
By submitting the survey you agree that Bright Health Savings and its licensed advisors may contact you by phone, text, or email about health coverage — including via automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
You can stop contact at any time: reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or tell your advisor on the call. We will honour the request promptly.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and for measuring traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential features of the survey may not work correctly if you do.
We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them, treating them as an opt-out of any sharing that would qualify as a sale under applicable state law.
How long we keep it
We keep submission records for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy insurance record-keeping and legal obligations, and then delete or de-identify them. You may ask us to delete your information sooner — see the next section.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale or sharing, or limit the use of sensitive information. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under those laws.
To exercise any of them, use our Do Not Sell My Info page or contact us through the contact page. We will verify your request and will not discriminate against you for making one.
Security
Submissions are transmitted over TLS and stored with access controls limiting them to the people who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not collect the categories of data that would make a breach most damaging.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.
